CO2 Suppression Systems
Automated carbon dioxide CO2 suppression systems, which are cheaper than clean gas suppression systems, can not be used in places where people are located.
All carbon dioxide CO2 suppression systems that are projected, assembled, designed, applied, commissioned and serviced by Metron are taken by the distributors in abroad and all systems have international certifications. (FM, UL, LPCB, VdS, GOST) System fillings are all made at the manufacturer’s premises and the systems are ready for import.
Low and high pressure systems can be provided as required, and cylinders can be supplied in various volume lengths in the direction of requirements and specifications. Generally, systems designed with cylinders under 60 bar
pressure are activated by the signal from the detection systems and realize the suppression process.
All design and hydraulic calculations are made by the manufacturer’s approved hydraulic calculator programs. The hydraulic calculation program is from USA.
All designs are made according to American NFPA 12 Standard on Carbon Dioxide Suppression Systems standards and the values indicated by these standards are used. It can perform the suppression operation with the principle based on the total flooding principle, and it also allows the design with the local flooding, thus the cost preservation and effectiveness issues can be maximized.
Total flooding is based on the principle that the entire room is filled with CO2 gas and the fire is extinguished at this rate. Local flooding is based on the principle that the CO2 gas is discharged only on the protected material or
machine and the fire extinguishes directly there, when there is a fire associated with any machine, material etc. required to be protected.
